• Share prices of internet company Yahoo Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO - Analyst Report) surged after the company's co-founder Mr. Jerry Yang resigned from the services of the company
• Electronic payment system company Net 1 UEPS Technologies Inc.’s (NASDAQ:UEPS - Snapshot Report) said it had won a contract in South Africa. Under the terms of the contract, Net 1 UEPS will provide payment services for social grants
• According to a Bloomberg report, there is a possibility that government funding to repay school loans may be reduced. Following the report, share prices of all major for-profit educators including Apollo Group (NASDAQ:APOL - Analyst Report), Capella Education (NASDAQ:CPLA - Analyst Report) and DeVry Inc (NYSE:DV - Analyst Report) declined
